Vice President of Human Capital Management

Overview: As the Vice President of Talent Management, you will play a critical role in enhancing and managing our Learning and Development, Performance, and Talent Management programs across the organization. This hybrid role, based in our Boston, MA office, requires a results-driven individual who will build strong partnerships with management, internal stakeholders, and external resources to align Talent Management initiatives with our business strategy. You will regularly evaluate program success and pivot as necessary to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

What You Will Do:

Learning and Development:

  • Develop a training strategy aligned with business and talent initiatives.
  • Conduct needs analysis with management to identify skill gaps and implement learning programs.
  • Design programs for future employee development, including mentoring and leadership cohorts.
  • Source and develop content using internal and external resources.
  • Optimize learning opportunities through various delivery mediums.
  • Utilize the learning management system for program tracking, compliance, and execution.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance program effectiveness.

Performance Management:

  • Assess current performance management processes and recommend enhancements.
  • Conduct assessments with employees and managers on form, frequency, format, and ratings.
  • Implement and evaluate the success of new solutions, adjusting as necessary.
  • Provide training and coaching on performance management.
  • Ensure processes are unbiased and inclusive, using a DEI lens.

Talent Management:

  • Partner with managers to understand department-specific skills.
  • Develop skill progression matrices for individual departments.
  • Provide counsel and guidance to managers on employee skill development.
  • Offer targeted learning opportunities based on identified skills.

What You Will Bring:

  • 8-10 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years focused on talent management.
  • Experience designing and implementing talent-related programs.
  • Deep understanding of employee engagement, leadership development, and performance management.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align talent initiatives with business strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with management at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to build effective partnerships.
  • Active listening skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Impeccable ethical standards.
