The Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient transportation for individuals with disabilities. This role requires managing a fleet of vehicles, coordinating schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and providing excellent customer service. The Transportation Manager will also oversee a team of drivers, ensuring they are trained, compassionate, and dedicated to meeting the unique needs of passengers.

Key Responsibilities:Transportation Coordination:

  • Directly supervise transportation services drivers, monitors, coordinators, and relief staff
  • Coordinate and prioritize transportation requests, ensuring that all clients have access to necessary transportation services in a timely manner.
  • Work with local health facilities, social service agencies, and community programs to align transportation needs.

Fleet Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the transportation fleet, ensuring vehicles are clean, accessible, and well-maintained to accommodate elderly passengers, including those with mobility challenges.
  • Ensure vehicles are equipped with necessary accommodations (e.g., wheelchair accessibility, medical equipment) to meet the needs of elderly clients.
  • Ensure the vehicles comply with safety regulations and perform regular safety checks.

Staff Management & Training:

  • Supervise and manage a team of drivers, ensuring they are trained to work with elderly clients and understand the importance of providing compassionate, respectful service.
  • Provide regular training on safety protocols, customer service, handling emergency situations, and maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Perform performance evaluations, provide feedback, and handle any disciplinary actions if needed.
