We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Tax Analyst to join our team and support our complex, multi-entity, and multi-state tax operations. Hybrid opportunity 1-2 day a week in the office, total compensation package includes, base, bonus and stocks.
Position Overview: The Senior Tax Analyst will play a critical role in managing the company's tax compliance and reporting obligations. This role requires extensive experience with consolidated corporate tax returns, multi-entity tax structures, and multi-state filings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax laws, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and review federal and state corporate tax returns, including consolidated returns for multiple entities.
- Multi-State Tax Filings: Manage multi-state tax compliance, ensuring that all tax filings are completed accurately and on time across various jurisdictions.
- Tax Planning: Assist in developing and implementing tax strategies that optimize the company's tax position, including identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies.
- Audit Support: Provide support during tax audits, including gathering documentation, preparing responses, and communicating with tax authorities.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on complex tax issues, including state-specific tax laws, and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and deferred tax calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the tax function.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Finance, Legal, and Accounting, to ensure tax compliance and alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate tax, with a strong focus on compliance and consolidated tax returns.
- Extensive experience with multi-entity and multi-state tax filings.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (e.g., OneSource, Corptax, SAP).
