The Role
We are seeking a Senior Fund Analyst to join a collaborative fund administration team in our beautiful Boston office. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented fund professional with strong experience in financial reporting, regulatory filings, and compliance for registered investment funds.
Key Responsibilities
- Review fund financial statements for accuracy and compliance
- Review and support regulatory filings (including N-CSR, N-Q, N-SAR, N-1A updates, and Form 24F-2)
- Support tax-related activities, including tax returns, year-end distributions, and 1099 reporting
- Review compliance with the Investment Company Act of 1940, IRS regulations, and Prospectus/SAI requirements
- Research and resolve regulatory or compliance exceptions
- Review fund expense accruals and distribution calculations
- Assist with Board materials and regulatory reporting
- Partner with internal teams and external service providers
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or investment operations
- Strong knowledge of 1940 Act requirements and regulatory reporting
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
