Senior Director, HR Services

As the Senior Director, HR Services, you will be responsible for leading our payroll, benefits, and HRIS functions. You will work closely with the Executive Vice President, Human Resources, and other key stakeholders to ensure the seamless delivery of HR services and programs to our employees. This role requires a blend of tactical day-to-day execution and strategic planning to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the HR operations team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance with payroll-related requirements.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks. Partner with vendors and brokers to evaluate and optimize benefit offerings.
  • HRIS Management: Lead the management and optimization of the HR information system (HRIS) to support HR processes and data-driven decision-making. Ensure data integrity and security within the HRIS platform.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at improving HR operational efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas for process improvement and automation to streamline HR operations.
  • HR Shared Services: Oversee HR shared services provided to five individual organizations within the company. Ensure consistent service delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Compliance: Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends related to HR operations, payroll, benefits, and HRIS. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including payroll processors, benefits administrators, and HRIS vendors. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HR operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR information systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and process improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in a multi-site or multi-entity environment preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.

Note: This is a hybrid role located in our Boston, MA office.
