Job Summary:
As a Receptionist in Hyannis, Cape Cod, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers to our organization. Your role is essential in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. You will be responsible for managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, and providing administrative support as needed. Exceptional communication and customer service skills are vital for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet Visitors: Welcome guests, clients, and employees as they arrive at the office, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Answer and Direct Calls: Manage the main phone line, answer inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate department or individual.
- Provide Information: Offer information about the organization, its services, and directions to visitors or callers.
- Manage Reception Area: Keep the reception area clean and organized, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
- Handle Mail and Deliveries: Receive and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Schedule Appointments: Assist in scheduling appointments and meetings for staff members.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support such as data entry, filing, and photocopying.
- Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of visitor logs and contact information.
- Assist with Special Projects: Support various projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor.
- Proficiency in using office equipment, including phone systems and computers.
- Organized, reliable, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of the local area and resources can be beneficial.
Working Conditions:
