Real Estate Paralegal

Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough title searches to determine the legal ownership of a property, any liens, encumbrances, or other restrictions that may affect the property's title.
- Reviewing title abstracts, title reports, and other documents to identify any issues or discrepancies that need to be addressed before closing.
- Working with title insurance companies to resolve title issues, such as outstanding liens, easements, or boundary disputes, to ensure a clear title for the buyer.
- Drafting and preparing various legal documents related to real estate transactions, including deeds, mortgages, purchase agreements, and closing documents.
- Assisting with the coordination of real estate closings by scheduling appointments, preparing closing statements, and ensuring that all necessary documents are properly executed and filed.
- Communicating with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction to provide updates, answer questions, and address concerns throughout the process.
- Handling the recording and filing of legal documents with the appropriate government offices, such as deeds, mortgages, and liens, to ensure the proper transfer of ownership and security interests.
- Assisting with the procurement of title insurance policies for buyers and lenders to protect against unforeseen title defects or claims that may arise after closing.
