Property Inspector

A great client of ours located in Orleans, MA is looking for a Property Inspector.

The Property Inspector is responsible for conducting detailed inspections of residential and commercial properties. This role involves evaluating the structural, mechanical, and electrical systems of properties to ensure they meet the required standards and regulations. The inspector will document findings, provide recommendations, and generate detailed inspection reports for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties, including interior and exterior components.
  • Evaluate structural integrity, roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and other critical components.
  • Identify and document defects, safety issues, and maintenance needs.
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to perform inspections.
  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and easy-to-understand inspection reports with photographs and recommendations.
  • Communicate inspection results to clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries promptly.
  • Attend ongoing training and certification programs to maintain professional credentials.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Certification from a recognized home inspection organization (e.g., ASHI, InterNACHI) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in property inspection, construction, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools, software, and technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, access tight spaces, and work in various weather conditions.
