Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining our client's network infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network, enabling seamless communication and data transfer within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and implement network infrastructure to meet the organization's requirements, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.

• Evaluate and recommend network hardware and software solutions to enhance performance and security.

• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.

• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary updates and patches.

• Ensure network uptime and reliability by conducting regular maintenance and backups.

• Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control policies.

• Keep up-to-date with security best practices and regulatory compliance, and make necessary adjustments to the network infrastructure.

• Proactively monitor network performance and analyze traffic patterns to identify and resolve bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

• Optimize network configurations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Provide technical support to end-users and other IT team members to resolve network-related issues.

• Respond to network emergencies and conduct root cause analysis.

• Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

• Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and usage trends.

• Work closely with other IT professionals, such as system administrators and security specialists, to ensure a cohesive and secure IT environment.

• Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers for network-related solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Industry certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a strong understanding of network protocols, technologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and security tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
