Investment Writer

Our client, a growing firm in the investment space is seeking an associate to join its team and work as a strategic writer and investment communications professional. The writer will work closely with the firm’s internal departments on writing, communications and other data projects. Key attributes include excellent writing and editing skills, a familiarity with investment data and an ability to develop productive relationships with key stakeholders across the firm. A successful candidate will have comprehensive investment knowledge, analytical skills and an ability to interview investment professionals in order to extract insight and communicate it clearly.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Write client questionnaires, write market commentaries
• Interface with internal channels such as portfolio managers, research analysts,
• sales, client service and legal/compliance for input and review

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years previous reporting experience covering equity markets or writing experience in the financial services industry
• Demonstrated ability to capture complex ideas and express them in a clear, concise and
• engaging writing style
• Ability to interpret investment attributions
• Keen interest in global equity markets, equity strategies and investment concepts
• Experience with Excel, Bloomberg or similar investment data preferred
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage competing obligations
