Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

HR Systems, Payroll & Operations Manager

Boston, MA | Hybrid – 3 Days In-Office

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $110,000 – $130,000
  • Bonus: based on individual and company performance

Overview

We are partnering with a well-established organization in Boston to identify a HR Systems, Payroll & Human Reources Manager. This is a highly visible, hands-on role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while driving key HR operational functions.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys combining HR operations, systems, data analytics, and process improvement to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Payroll

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support payroll operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll and system-related issues

HR Systems (HRIS) & Reporting

  • Own and enhance HRIS functionality and data integrity
  • Design and build dashboards and reporting for senior leadership
  • Generate complex data reports to support strategic decision-making
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for HR systems, reporting, and analytics

Compensation

  • Support annual compensation planning and review cycles
  • Assist with benchmarking, surveys, and maintaining competitive salary structures
  • Provide insights and guidance on compensation-related matters

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Drive continuous improvement across HR processes and systems
  • Partner with HR leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Deliver high-quality HR services across a multi-entity environment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in HR Operations, including payroll and HRIS
  • Strong HRIS and data analytics skills, including dashboard creation and reporting for senior leadership
  • Advanced Excel skills and high comfort working with data
  • Experience with systems such as UKG (UltiPro), Workday, or similar preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service mindset
