Our client, a globally recognized investment firm headquartered in Boston, is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to take full ownership of financial reporting, fund operations, and oversight of registered/open-end investment fund structures. This is a fantastic next step for someone looking to move from audit or advisory into a hands-on, strategic fund-side role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Lux GAAP
  • Manage SEC reporting processes and ensure compliance with regulatory timelines
  • Oversee monthly NAV calculations, pricing, and fund-level reporting
  • Coordinate Board of Directors materials, performance analytics, and fund financial dashboards
  • Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators
  • Analyze and present fund performance metrics and cash flow projections
  • Support oversight of fund-level debt compliance, treasury, and liquidity planning

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably coming from a Big 4 (or top-tier public accounting) firm’s asset management, financial services, or investment funds practice
  • Strong technical understanding of SEC reporting requirements and investment company accounting
  • CPA required
  • Experience working with registered funds
  • Familiarity with systems like Investran, eFront, or Great Plains a strong plus
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, team-focused approach
