Our client, a growing technology is adding to staff for a project basis!
We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager for this growing team.
The Product Marketing role is the glue that binds product strategy to the tactics used to drive success across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
The PMM will be the product evangelist and will play an integral role in positioning products in the market and ensuring that our team has the necessary knowledge and materials they need to attract customers and close deals.
The PMM will have hands on experience with buyer Journey, industry trends and requirements, and brings knowledge/experience in IIoT infrastructure, cloud, and digitalization initiatives that are impacting industry verticals. You’ll connect product capabilities to customer use cases, and benefits to key messages and value propositions. Additionally, you’ll work with Content, Demand Gen, and PR to generate awareness and develop targeted campaigns to drive pipeline.
The PMM will have a passion for telling product stories in simple and engaging ways.
This role requires exceptional writing, speaking and connecting with people. Ideally we would love to find someone who has had hands on engineering experience that is now interested in being the technical marketer.
Responsibility
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to properly position our products and develop internal tools and external collateral that resonates with our target buyers
- Conduct customer research to deeply understand our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria. Ensure our team has a deep understanding of the market.
- Understand the competitive landscape and be an expert on our competition, how they are positioned, which direction they are going , and how we can stay ahead.
- Plan the launches of new products and updates and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan. This includes internal and external written communications as well as hosting webinars on major updates.
- Act as the primary thought leader for our products and how they solve our customer's problems, including speaking engagements and written works
- Assist in developing and maintain buyer personas that power our Sales and Marketing campaigns
Skills & Experience:
- 5 plus years B2B product marketing experience ideally within IIOT infrastructure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will frequently have to present about new products and write engaging copy, telling the story of products, across various channels (sales collateral, website, blog, webinars, etc.)
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with colleagues, cross functional teams and third parties.
- Analysis of data, surveys and customer interviews will be part of this mix and you need to be well acquainted with these techniques.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while also being able to deal effectively with ambiguity
- Enjoys team participation but is a highly-motivated self-starter
- A positive outlook, great sense of humor, and a desire to learn and grow
