Collections / Customer Service Associate

One of our top clients is seeking a temporary Collection/Customer Service Associate to work at a premier real estate development company with great company culture and team. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of going longer.

In this position, you are an extension of the sales team assisting with AR and collections while providing the best customer service to the businesses that we work with.

What’s a typical day as Collection/Customer Service Associate?

You’ll be:

  • Generating and reviewing account aging data files to select accounts for collection efforts on assigned accounts
  • Managing incoming credit and collection inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Sending updated statements of account to Customers
  • Preparing detailed account spreadsheets as necessary and reconciling all discrepancies
  • Creating and maintaining database on all collection activity conducted on accounts
  • Evaluating customer records and recommending accounts to be closed, credit limit reduced or extended, or collection attempted, based on payment history and purchase activity
  • Posting assigned account incoming payments from collection efforts
  • Identifying and applying all account credit memos and performing write-off adjustments on assigned aged receivables
  • Preparing weekly account reports on collection efforts and action taken on accounts
  • Attending aging review meetings with Supervisory Management on collection efforts


This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have 3-5 years of experience in B2B collections and customer service
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management, customers, and other staff members.
  • Have experience in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Acumatica experience is a plus.
  • Have the ability to organize and plan collection efforts from an aging report and effectively manage a high volume of accounts.
  • Are a self-starter that takes initiative, has the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, be detail detail-oriented, and maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
