Business Development Manager - (Engineering/Energy Industry)

Our client is a leading provider of AC Mitigation/Cathodic Protection solutions, partnering with energy companies. As they continue to expand, they are seeking an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us drive sustainable financial growth and increase our market share. This position will work closely with the Principal of the company, spearheading business development initiatives.

  • Develop and implement a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new markets, opportunities, and customer needs, especially within existing key clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring long-term partnerships.
  • Promote the company's solutions, specifically around AC Mitigation/Cathodic Protection (Corrosion Control, Lightning Protection).
  • Attend 2-3 trade shows per year to increase visibility and establish new contacts.
  • Collaborate with leadership on the recruitment and development of a business development team.
  • Prepare sales contracts and ensure compliance with legal guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales, revenue, and client interactions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar role in the energy or engineering sector.
  • Strong background in AC Mitigation/Cathodic Protection, Corrosion Control, or Lightning Protection.
  • A proven track record of sales and business development success.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently when needed.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and trade shows.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office.
  • BSc/BA in Engineering, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
