Responsibilities:

  1. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling vendor statements.
  2. Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  3. Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  4. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  5. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making by management.
  6. Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow projections to ensure adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations.
  7. Coordinate with external accountants to support year-end financial audits and tax filings.
  8. Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  9. Provide financial information and support to management as needed to facilitate business decision-making.
  10. Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement any necessary updates to accounting processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in a professional services environment.
  3. Proficiency with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, and Microsoft Excel.
  4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
  5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  8. CPA certification or progress towards CPA certification is a plus.
