A fast growing organization on Cape Cod is looking for an accounting manager to join their team!

As an Accounting Manager in the construction industry, your role is crucial in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making.

Here's an overview of responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (such as GAAP or IFRS).

Budgeting and Forecasting: Work closely with project managers and executives to develop budgets and forecasts for construction projects. Monitor performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.

Cost Management: Track costs associated with construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses. Implement cost control measures to optimize profitability.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, and collections. Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including payroll taxes, sales taxes, and income taxes. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.

Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud. Conduct periodic audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Cash Management: Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for ongoing operations and capital expenditures. Monitor bank balances, reconcile accounts, and optimize cash reserves.

Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, such as evaluating investment opportunities, assessing project profitability, and identifying cost-saving initiatives.

Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to ensure a smooth audit process.

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and the efficient operation of the accounting department.
