We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team. The Accounting Associate will play a key role in managing financial activities related to construction billing, job cost reporting, estate care billing, and credit card reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, experience with AIA construction billing, and a proactive approach to financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction Billing

Prepare, review, and submit monthly construction progress billing.
Ensure billing accuracy by verifying project details, change estimates, commitments and work completed.

Job Cost Reporting:

Preparing detailed job cost reports for construction projects.
Track project expenses, monitor variances.
Ensure that costs align with project estimates.

Estate Care Billing:

Assist with preparing and processing estate care-related billing.

Credit Card Entry and Reconciliation:

Enter company credit card transactions into the accounting system.
Reconcile credit card statements and ensure all transactions are accurately categorized and supported by receipts.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in credit card transactions.

General Accounting Support:

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including financial reporting.
Provide support in maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records.
Collaborate with the accounting team on various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Prior experience in construction progress billing.
Strong knowledge of job cost reporting and estimate management.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with construction project management or accounting software (e.g., Timberline, Sage).
